* Rising grade level as of fall 2018.  We offer this to you as a guide to choosing your child's camp session, but you know your child, their maturity level, and their experience away from home better than anyone else. Within each session campers are placed into groups with similar ages.

Realizing that families have different abilities and resources to pay for summer camp, John Knox Center is utilizing a voluntary three-tiered pricing program. You may choose the tier that is most suitable for your family.  It is a “free-will” system; you pick the level that is comfortable and affordable for you.  Our goal in introducing tiered pricing is simple.  We want to continue to provide Christ centered programming in a safe, welcoming and fun environment, while offering opportunities for partnership for those who value this ministry and wish to help preserve John Knox Center for generations to come.
Tier I – This is the lowest rate and is the subsidized rate John Knox Center has historically offered. This price does not reflect what it costs for a camper to attend summer camp.
Tier II – This is a partially subsidized rate for families who wish to pay a little more and help support the John Knox Center ministry, but cannot afford the full price of camp.
Tier III – This rate most closely reflects what it costs for a camper to attend summer camp at John Knox Center, including facility upkeep and maintenance, staffing, utilities, and equipment.

Mediation Training Seminar Available

Dear Colleagues North Alabama Presbytery and the Presbytery of Sheppards and Lapsley are delighted to sponsor a week-long mediation training seminar facilitated by Lombard Mennonite Peace Center.  This training institute offers invaluable skills and knowledge to navigate conflict in congregations and Presbyteries, and is useful in a variety of other contexts as well. Through a generous grant from our Synod, we are able to offer this workshop for $575 per person for the first 22 participants from the Synod.  This price includes the conference, all materials, and lodging and meals at Camp Maranatha where the training will be held.  This is a * significant * discount of over 50% – the usual registration fee for the conference alone is $750, and with lodging would be $1200.  There is an informational brochure attached.  Please share this with your ministers, congregations, and committees, highlighting the special scholarship rate.  If you have questions, please do not hesitate
